Per me Francesco Bertelli è un bell’esempio di genio italiano; stabilitosi a new York, assembla bici fisse di straordinaria bellezza. Il suo sito è di rara raffinatezza. Qui presentiamo la sua “opera” dal titolo “Stoica”, ed ecco come lui la propone. “Bici da pista senza freni. Il telaio è un prototipo che sarà pronto per la vendita all’inizio della primavera 2010. Rigida geometria. Telaio 57. Adatto per ciclisti da un metro e mezzo in su. La sella è una stretta vintage Brooks B17. Attacco manubrio giapponese SR e manubrio Nitto in acciaio”. Parleremo sicuramente ancora di lui.

E' stata presentata a Interbike, a Las Vegas, la nuovissima Cinelli MASH, la fissa disegnata in collaborazione con il gruppo creativo MASH originario di San Francisco, che rappresenta un mito per gli appassionati dello scatto fisso. Fondata da Mike Martin e Gabe Morford alcuni anni fa racchiude intorno a sè artisti, fotografi, creativi, messangers ed è un crogiuolo dove nascono idee, prodotti e avventure a due ruote. E' relizzato da loro il film di culto Mash di circa un ora con riprese divertenti e mozzafiato dei pionieri delle fisse nell area californiana. Sono stati chiamati da Lance Amstrong a realizzare un clip di 5 minuti in cui il pluricampione del Tour de France pedala sulla fissa accanto a loro, ad Austin, ed il video è stato presentato allo stand di Cinelli a Las Vegas. Ora, assieme ad Antonio Colombo, hanno dato vita ad nuovo entusiasmante progetto. La grafica è realizzata da Benny Gold, un designer fra piu noti nell area street e skate con all'attivo collaborazioni con Adidas, Nike, Burton e altri marchi trendy della west coast.

MASH
It was presented at Interbike, in Las Vegas, the newest Cinelli MASH, the fixed designed in collaboration with the creative team MASH from San Francisco, which is a myth for fans of the fixed gear. Founded by Mike Martin and Gabe Morford few years ago holds around him artists, photographers, designers, messangers and is a melting pot where ideas, products, and adventures on two wheels are born. Sella + attrezzi – Saddle + tools

Pieter Janssen di Design Amsterdam ha creato questo progetto di sella contenente alcuni degli attrezzi essenziali. Design Amsterdam realizza cartoni animati, concept disegn, impressioni di artisti e storyboard, per una vasta gamma di clienti. Fare schizzi solo con carta e penna è ancora il modo più veloce per tradurre i pensieri in concetti chiari o disegni, e ti permette di influenzare il progetto mentre si realizza, come se steste disegnandolo voi stessi. Questi schizzi poi diventano un progetto della presentazione finale.

These sketches then become a blueprint of the final presentation.
