D'Acciaio (Of Steel)

D'Acciaio è uno dei tre film realizzati in collaborazioni tra Rapha e Ridley Scott Associates. Diretto da Ben Ingham, D’acciaio è un ritratto intimo di un uomo ossessionato dal suo mestiere. Dario Pegoretti trasuda passione per la forma del telaio da corsa e il materiale con cui li costruisce. Il film cattura Pegoretti e e i suoi collaboratori nel suo laboratorio di Caldonazzo nelle Dolomiti, che ci mostra il carattere, la passione e l'arte dell'uomo e del suo mondo. In concomitanza con D'Acciaio, Rapha ha prodotto un libro accompagnatorio con le immagini ed estratti dai dialogo del film. Il libro contiene anche una copia del film in DVD. Con rilegatura cartonata e carta di lusso, con immagini digitali a colori, questo è davvero un pezzo da collezione.

D'Acciaio (Of Steel) is one of three film collaborations between Rapha and Ridley Scott Associates. Directed by Ben Ingham, Of Steel is an intimate portrait of a man obsessed with his craft. Dario Pegoretti exudes passion for the racing frame's form and the material he builds them from. The film captures Pegoretti and company in his workshop in Caldonazzo in the Dolomites, showing us the passion, character and art of the man and his world. To coincide with D'Acciaio, Rapha have produced an accompanying book with images and dialogue extracts from the film. The book also holds a copy of the film on DVD. Saddle-stitched and printed on deluxe stock with full colour digital images, this is a serious collector's item.

Cinelli for Bicycle Film Festival 2010 Cycling Caps

Oltre alla sella di S. Marco Vintage, per celebrare questa decima edizione del Bicycle Film Festival Cinelli ha realizzato un classico cappellino da ciclista disegnato dal team del BFF che si è ispirato al keirin (una specialità del cliclismo su pista nata in Giappone). Il berretto esce in tre varianti colore e sarà in vendita in esclusiva durante la tappa milanese del festival, ma anche online.

In addition to the S. Marco Vintage saddle, to celebrate this tenth edition of the Bicycle Film Festival Cinelli has created a classic cycling cap designed by the team BFF that was inspired by the keirin (one of the track specialties born in Japan). The cap comes in three colors and will be on sale exclusively at the 'tappa' in Milan during the festival, but also online.

"Ever since cycling for the first time without stablisers I have been fascinated by human propulsion. Over the years the myth of the monowheel has become an equal fascination. Since the 1860's many patents have been filed in the monowheel's name and today there are even rumors of a production monowheel in China, but as it stands there is nothing currently available. As we can't buy a monowheel we made one,The attraction of this project is venturing into the unknown. We don't suggest for one moment that a functioning human powered monowheel could ever provide an improvement on the modern bicycle. Instead its value would come from the discourse and ideas generated as a result of this research. Commissioned by Issey Miyake for the xx21st Centry Man Exhibition @21_21 Design Sight Tokyo. Now in a private collection."
