In bicicletta con Maria
“Iniziai a fotografare biciclette durante un viaggio ad Amsterdam nell’agosto del 2007. Non avevo ancora in mente il progetto ” In bicicletta”, ma rimasi colpita dalle miriadi di due ruote che sfrecciavano nelle strade della capitale olandese. Ripensando a quale fu il motivo che mi spinse a fotografarle devo dire che, probabilmente, fu la percezione di come ci sia un rapporto intimo tra la bicicletta e gli olandesi. Tornata in Italia mia madre, da poco rimasta vedova, un giorno mi disse: ” quando vado in bicicletta non mi sento sola”. Iniziai, così, a percepire la due ruote non più come un semplice mezzo di locomozione, ma come una compagna di vita. Decisi, allora, che oggetto della mia ricerca fotografica sarebbe stata lei, la “Bicicletta”, poesia in movimento”. Maria Profeta http://www.carnevalefantaveicoli.it/home.php
