Ho ultimato la mia prima fissa: è un vero gioiello. Appena ho visto il suo profilo e i suoi toni dominanti, mi è venuto in mente il manifesto che ritrae il tenente Frank Bullitt, dove predomina il nero ed il volto di Steve McQueen sembra ammantato da una luce argentea.Questa mia fissa sarà nervosa, scattante e veloce, come Bullitt nella mitica scena dell’inseguimento in Mustang per le colline di San Francisco. Sarà sicura ed affidabile, e non scenderà a nessun compromesso, come il Tenente Frank. All’occorrenza potrà anche essere docile, ma solo con chi saprà trattarla. Si muoverà con disinvoltura su tutti i terreni, urbani ed extra-urbani, anche i più impervi e pericolosi, ma mantenendo sempre il proprio carattere incontenibile, totalmente s-frenato.
La linea sarà armoniosa, come le note sincopate del Bullitt Theme di Lalo Schifrin.

Bullitt 1.0 - The Character
I finished my first fixie: it’s a real jewel. When I saw its profile and its dominant nuance, I was reminded of the poster that portrays Lt. Frank Bullitt, which is predominantly black and Steve McQueen’s face seems wrapped in a silvery light.
This fixed of mine will be nervous, quick and fast, as in the legendary hill jumping chase car scene with Bullitt’s Mustang in San Francisco. It will be safe and reliable, and not come to any compromise, just as Lt. Frank. If necessary it can also be quiet, but only with those who knows how to treat it. It will move easily on all terrain, urban and non-urban, even the most inaccessible and dangerous, it always will maintain its irrepressible character, totally brakeless.
The design will be harmonious, as the syncopated notes of Bullitt Theme by Lalo Schifrin.
